The Thousand Camel Festival will be held for the 23 years from March 6 to 7 in Dalanzadgad soum of Umnugovi Province.
Over 1,000 camels and their riders will compete in various competitions and races during the festival. The event will feature performances by folk musicians and dancers.
The festival offers unique insights about the Mongolian two-humped camel and a taste of herder’s traditional nomadic lifestyle.
