State-owned Mongolian Oil Refinery LLC announced its intentions to commence assembling work for the new oil refinery in Mongolia this spring.
The company reported that India’s JMC Projects Ltd. KEC International Ltd. And AFCONS Infrastructure Ltd have submitted their documents for qualification as EPC contractor through the EPC Tender for Overall Project Management, Detailed Engineering, Procurement and Construction.
The discounted loan agreement between the governments of Mongolia and India specifies that the general contractor must be a company registered in India. The tender selection was organized by Mongolian and Indian teams at the same time and the selected company will enter into a contract with Mongolian Oil Refinery LLC.
The company shared plans to begin development work between April and May this year. This will mark the transition from planning to development phase.
“Mongolia is moving a step closer to becoming able to domestically provide its fuel and petroleum needs, and exercise energy freedom,” the company stated.
E.Amartuvshin to perform at Metropolitan Opera House
State Honored Artist E.Amartuvshin will perform at the Metropolitan Opera House, which is the world famous opera house in New York City, in April. He will play the role of Giorgio Germont, one of the main roles of “La Traviata” by Giuseppe Verdi.
The opera singer will also perform at Verona Arena in Verona.
