Judokas win medals at Warsaw Europe Open

Five Mongolian judokas coached by B.Batgerel competed in the Warsaw Europe Open 2020, held in Warsaw, Poland from February 29 to March 1. On the first day of the tournament, Mongolian athlete B.Sukhbat won bronze medal in the men’s 60 kg category, while E.Sumiyabazar won fifth place. In the men’s 73 kg, L.Ankhzaya defeated Spanish and Polish judokas, but lost to Russian athlete Oleg Babgoev in the third round.

On the second day, Khilchin Sports Committee’s judoka E.Gandiimaa won Ukranian athlete Khrystina Homan in the women’s 78 kg.

In the men’s 100 kg, judoka O.Tsetsentsengel grabbed bronze medal by defeating a Belarusian athlete. Some 407 judokas from 40 countries competed in the tournament.
