Young Mongolian brothers launch mobile game that “kills” coronavirus

Mongolian brothers in London, UK created a simulation mobile game with coronavirus killing missions during their quarantine time. L.Sansar, 11, and L.Ulziit, 9, named the game “2020 AR War” and put it on their website www.pixel-ed-gaming.com and App Store. AR stands for Augmented Reality.

L.Sansar wrote the code while L.Ulziit provided graphic details. The brothers posted on their website “Lately, all schools were quarantined which meant we could not go to school. Because how we hate this virus for ruining many lives and how sneaky the virus is, because you can’t see it, we decided to make a game in augmented reality where you can exterminate the coronavirus. You just do not sit and play. In order to play effectively, you must actively move around to locating, firing, and eliminating the viruses, and dodge their incoming missiles.”

They embedded a reminder in the game page to wash hands and they claimed that it makes them feel better for “at least doing something against the coronavirus.”

Recently, Apple LLC announced that they are cracking down on apps related to the coronavirus outbreak that aren’t from recognized institutions like governments and hospitals. So the young game makers decided to change the app’s title to “AR War” from “We VS COVID-19”.
