The next full moon is the beautiful May Flower Moon and it is expected to bloom this Thursday.
In Ulaanbaatar, the Flower Moon is expected to peak at 6.45 p.m. on the night of May 7.
During the New moon, the moon is positioned between the earth and the sun, and it appears to disappear from sight. But during the Full moon, the earth is between the moon and the sun, and the moon appears to be fully illuminated.
NASA said, “To the sun, it’s always a full moon.”
The May Full moon is popularly known as the Flower Moon, Hare Moon or Corn Planting Moon.
The names meant to keep track of the time by reflecting seasonal changes in the landscape.
The Flower Moon is said to be named after flowers blossoming at this time of the year.
